A lovely cottage, quiet, surrounded with a typical English garden, a place equipped with everything you are used to at home – and even more, a comfortable, romantic and well maintained place where you feel at ease the moment you enter. The owner is very friendly and will help you out with any problem you might face, without being intrusive. We especially liked the arrangement for the keys upon arrival, providing us and the owner with flexibility. No need to arrive strictly at a given time. The location of The Cottage is perfect, with good access to Cambridge and Huntingdon, and if you come by car also to Suffolk and Norfolk inland and coast. For those interested in a cultural visit to the region, in descending a prehistoric silex mine of visiting some of Cambridge’s famous colleges or beautiful medieval cathedrals, cities and villages, this is the place to stay. A nearby shop and a lovely nature reserve and plenty of hiking trails, e.g. to St. Ives, perfect to discover nature. And if you are looking for something different, just rent a boat for a tour on the nearby river.
Conclusion: an excellent option if you want a different holiday, an impressive eye-opener for those who haven’t been in the region before.
